A Crib for the Crib

Its furniture making time!! Whooo hooo!

I made this crib, its super easy to do and you can make one also if you wish….if you dare :D

Its only 16 Prims so its not too much of a prim hog.

I also made the *Elise* sign on the wall as well. Easy peasy!

I used this texture for the bumper and blanket and pillows and knobs on the crib.

Now remember these sizes are NOT set in umm stone, if you want your crib taller or thinner or whatever you play with the measurments. Your Crib, Your Imagination.

First I rezzed a box and used these measurements:

Size (meters)
X: 0.972
Y: 0.82
Y:0.945

Rotation (degrees)
X: 0
Y: 0
Z: 180

Copy this, you will need another for the other end.

This is considered the headboard and foot board of the Crib.

Now for the base of the Crib or sort of like where the mattress might be.

Rezz another Box with these measurements

Size (meters)

X: 1.105
Y: 1.723
Z: .181

Rotation (degrees)

X: 0
Y: 0
Z: 180

Ok so I googled what a crib looks like and I noticed that one of the railings is taller than the other. Dont ask me why, I just noticed it, so I chose to make mine like that too.

Maybe one side it for the taller parents and the other is for the height challenged ones :D

Rezz another box and lets make the back (taller) railing.

Size (meters)
X:0.970
Y:1.650
Z:0.051

Rotation
X:0
Y:90
Z:180

Ok and this is for the front railing or (shorter).

Size (meters)
X:0.691
Y:1.662
Z:0.051

Rotation
X:0
Y:90
Z:180

Now for the legs of the Crib we need yet another box rezzed.
Size (meters)
X :0.126
Y :0.082
Z :1.821

Rotation
X :0
Y :0
Z :180

We will need 4 of these unless you want your crib on a tilt or possibly to wobble.

And to dress up the top part of the legs we need 4 spheres with these measurements

Size (meters)
X:0.151
Y:0.151
Z:0.151

Now another dress up of the headboard and foot board area is this little Cylinder

Rotation
X: 1.140
Y: 529
Z: 082

Rotation

X: 270

Y: 0

Z: 0

Path Cut Begin and End

B: 0.500

E: 1.000

Copy this one you need it on both Head and Foot Boards.

Now slap it all together like so ...

Select it all and change it all to white or the Blank texture.

Copy the Matress and slide it up just a bit, hollow 95% and you have the bumper :D

I used the bunny texture (above) on the bumper and then the mattress and on each ball on the end of the legs.

For the railings I TPed over to Harbingers Haven for the free textures and clicked on the Gate Texture button. I found a white gate to use as the railings, just stretch it a bit.
