Need a kid?
Oh man, well I haven’t really talked about this much because I’m semi unsure of the whole process. This isn’t just for everyone on Second Life, just as it might not be to go to a combat Sim, or any other Roll Play Sim.
First off, in the Search button you can type Adoption and a load of places come up, at the time of this posting I found over 12 adoption sites. Find one that looks promising and TP (teleport) there. You will usually see some sort of house and toys and junk all over the yard. With kids bouncing all over the place, blasting gestures and kid noises, it can be very confusing.
[pic]
If you go inside there will usually be panels with pictures of children on the walls wanting to be adopted into a family. Kind of like a Myspace for kiddies! On the other side will be the parents section looking for kids. A lot of places have an area for single parents and couples.
[pic]
Some places have, what I call the *like system*. Click on the picture panel and you can read the child’s profile and you can choose *like* if they have similar interests in you. For a small weekly or monthly fee you can create a panel and profile for everyone to see and decide on.
[pic]
Of course if you are a prospective parent you have a picture profile up as well, I guess so the kids can click on you too.

This, in turn will help you into a week long *trial* process of getting to know one another. How you go about doing that is your choice. If you see you aren’t going to work out then shake hands and part ways.
Be big about it, not every child is going to be your match or possibly your partners, it takes time.
Some thoughts on this: It can be a interesting and rewarding experience if you let it. Gaining a friendship and learning a bit about your own self.
Remember these *kids* are adults as well out there, they aren’t REALLY children running around SL. They need to be treated with respect as you would anyone else on SL, not as pets or something to pass the time of day with.
However, since they are (or supposed to be) adults in one sense, they should also return the respect, one thing I can’t stand is a bratty or selfish *kid* on SL and they get away with being a punk just because they are *6*. That’s BS in my book.
If you do decide to take the plunge into this, I hope only happy and healthy times for you!

Week 2 BABY!!!

Isn't she a beautiful mommy? This is the week two belly :D She thinks shes huge, Oh man.

Our Doctor has a office, I guess like you would see in a real office, with the table that he exams you on and all the Doctor gear :D
If you look close you see lil baby Elise on the screen! :D

After the first week you have a doctors visit, no really you go to his office and he does an ultrasound on your belly -- of course....
He asks you some questions, how things are going and what not and then to schedule you for your delivery.

I didn’t see a place for the partner to faint…I think I will bring a pillow just for that very occasion.

After the visit he gives you a picture of your ultrasound to keep... Furniture time....:D
Still she's a cutie pie to me...well, both of them.
This time we just sat on the deck in our PJs, no dancing. :D
Our due date is 1/16 2008 at umm 5:30....

Oh the weather outside.........
The Lindens were giving a prize of 1st place 5000 2nd place 2000 and 3rd 1000 afterwards a questions and answers session, (this would have been my first of this event).
When you arrive it's in this huge teacup, just outside the cup you can snag some cute little winter AVs. - FREE!!
There was a mob of AVs there already as I stomped out in the snow.
After the 25 minute wait or so the Lindens had the show on the road and everyone began rolling their snowballs out.
I wanted to join in but chose to sit this one out because the lag was monstrous and didn't know exactly what to build, at the time.
They had some interesting builds going on.

The turnout was pretty good, the fun part not only was watching everyone do a build but to listen to them discuss what was considered a PG snowman.

It came to me what I wanted to make and decided to jump down and begin.
Then *IT* happened, the terrible fits of laggies hit me and I crashed unable to return. Every time I signed on *Ruth* was my nameo. So I gave up and have to drop in and see who the winner is *the next day*

A Crib for the Crib
I made this crib, its super easy to do and you can make one also if you wish….if you dare :D
Its only 16 Prims so its not too much of a prim hog.
I also made the *Elise* sign on the wall as well. Easy peasy!

Now remember these sizes are NOT set in umm stone, if you want your crib taller or thinner or whatever you play with the measurments. Your Crib, Your Imagination.

Copy this one you need it on both Head and Foot Boards.

Now slap it all together like so ...
Select it all and change it all to white or the Blank texture.
Copy the Matress and slide it up just a bit, hollow 95% and you have the bumper :D
I used the bunny texture (above) on the bumper and then the mattress and on each ball on the end of the legs.
For the railings I TPed over to Harbingers Haven for the free textures and clicked on the Gate Texture button. I found a white gate to use as the railings, just stretch it a bit.
